The Forest is in the midst of our annual August closure, as well as a staged re-opening. What does this mean?
-
Month of August
- The Forest will be closed, including all buildings, walking trails and grounds, as is the tradition.
- This annual closure allows ongoing maintenance and deep cleaning, respite and renewal for our residents and staff, and intentional, long-term discussions and discernment between staff and board members.
- Ongoing discernment and development of COVID-sensitive protocols as contraction rates continue to rise in our state.
-
Month of September:
- On Sept. 1st, the grounds will re-open to visitors to enjoy our walking trails, Labyrinth, and Zen Garden. Please sign in.
- Our Main House and Meditation Chapel will re-open: we require all visitors to wear masks indoors and meals until further notice.
The Forest residential community, staff and board thank you for your patience and kindness during this time. It has been difficult for so many and has underscored the need and value of the Forest. Many of you have reached out or sent donations to help us. The generosity has been humbling. We look forward to being in community with you once again. May you be happy. May you be at peace.
